It is obvious that is the brain because without brain there is no mind. It is like saying that there can be no waves without water. waves are a part of water and not the other ways around.

The mind is the expression of the brain. The mind reveals the state of the brain just like drawing is thee medium of communication for architect. So , is the mind a medium of communication for the brain. It is not independent. Mind is the very much a part of the brain.
